Corporate Events and Catering
The individual who has the responsibility of planning a corporate event has the task of looking after all the different segments that this type of occasion is made up of, including the catering.
Planning Outdoor Events
One idea that has become popular is to plan corporate events outside of the business setting. There are a lot of benefits to this. Many planners are now letting mother nature help with where the best places are for these events. This means now there are many different options for where corporate events can be held.
Types of Outdoor Events
Some corporations are now opting for outdoor events where those attending can be interactive with what has been planned for them. For example, an event could include a fishing derby, or a treasure hunt or a car rally. Catering could consist of serving the day’s catch.
For the outdoor events, arranging for the food can be a little less formal. There are plenty of options that can be chosen from. The event planner can decide to have a barbecue, as many caterers specialise in this. Or the decision could be to have all cold foods offered, such as a variety of different salads and cold meats.
Planning Indoor Events
If the event is going to be indoors, there is still an opportunity to have it include some form of indoor activity. It could be a bowling party or a dinner theatre event. With the latter, there is no need for catering. With other choices, a common meeting place following the activity can be arranged for, along with the catering.
No matter which type of location is chosen, the catering is going to be important. Even if it is a short event and only including light refreshments. The planner has to have a good idea of the number of people who will be attending.
